Ethical dilemmas of the medical sales representatives in pharmaceutical marketing and sales

This phenomenological study investigated the ethical dilemmas of Medical Sales Representatives (MSRs) in pharmaceutical marketing and sales province Laguna. Specifically, this research utilized transcendental phenomenology applied triangulation three methods: observation, interviews focus group discussion. After executing identifying significant statements, bracketing, horizontalization, theme clustering, researcher revealed seventeen (17) themes. As to experienced by MSRs sales, concept branched out nine thematic concepts their shared reality. Theme 1: Personal Growth Professional Development, 2: Product Knowledge Interpersonal Skills, 3: Be Knowledgeable, Friendly, Patient, 4: Understanding Clients' Needs, Preferences, Interests, 5: Focused, Good Communicator, Compassionate, 6: Flexibility Opportunity, 7: Rejections Failure, 8: Satisfaction Patient-Care, 9: Effectivity Affordability. From experiences regarding how face developed eight sensible themes: 10: Handling Dealing with Various Aspects, 11: Keeping Patient Positive Mindset Solve Problems, 12: Learning Motivation, 13: Helping Consumers Cure Illnesses, 14: Clients Building Relationships, 15: Disappointed, yet Motivated, 16: Analyze, Strategize, Improve, 17: Modernized Research-Based. The consensus among participants' statements that there are certain factors, strategies, solutions medical representatives consider succeeding sector. possess good communication skills product expertise, which necessary for every MSR assist them achieving target even though becoming one is difficult due failures rejections. In addition, effective strategies analysis must be used fulfill company's objectives. To better align develop would make doing business easier, future researchers field industry should investigate learn healthcare professionals institutions perceive organizations.
